Hello Family,
A big thank you for coming to mom/grandma's party and helping. It turned out so fun! It was fun to see all of you. Next on the agenda is our family party on June 19th at the Draper Park. My family is in charge and we are doing a breakfast/brunch thing. Please put it on your calendar now so you won't forget. We will be doing breakfast/brunch at 10:00 am. We will also be having some games and stuff for the kids so it should be fun.
If you have any kiddie pools, would you let me know? We are going to do some water games.
As far as my family, we are doing well. Dan is working hard and will soon be finished with another semester at CEU/Utah State College. My oldest girls we to Jr. Prom this past month and looked gorgeous. I can't believe they will be seniors next year. Like many girls their age, Courtney decided it was time to be on her own, so she recently moved out and is living with her friends in Castle Dale. We miss her, but she continues to go to school and is working hard and learning about the world outside of Ferron Utah! Tanya will be representing her high school next year as a cheerleader which she hasn't done since she was in Jr. High. Cammie is working towards her drivers license. KaRanda and I will fly to Oregon over Spring Break to meet some of her long lost sisters. Kara is getting excited to go to Jr. High and Faith and I just finished being in a cute, cute play called HONK. We are anxiously awaiting approval of my fingerprints from the FBI so that our adoption of Miguel can go through. We have an adoption date of April 22 if the fingerprints are back, if not . . . who knows. We still have a sealing date of May 1 in the Draper Temple at 10:00 am if we do get the adoption finalized, so please keep us in your prayers. That's it for the Higbee's in Ferron.
Gary & Bev Family:
It was great to see everyone at Mom's birthday. We had a wonderful time! March has gone by so fast but it has been an eventful month for Gary and Family! Riley and Tricia's oldest turned 9 years old on March 8. Chelsey is such a sweetheart and we are so proud of her. On March 10th Britany and Jeremy went to court and finalized adoption of Devin. It was great to be with them on the courthouse and in the judges chambers when the final word was pronounced. Then we were able to go to the Temple on Saturday March 13 and have him sealed to them. And the next day they blessed him at church. We are also sorry to say that Jeremy's grandmother passed away on March 22. So they will be going to California for her funeral. Kellen is back to school after mid-terms and spring break. But, he sees a light at the end of the tunnel, he will graduate in December of this year. Camille and Liv are counting the months! Gary and Bev are just plugging away. Feeling older as the family gets older but we love being around the kids and grand kids!
Oh, and Congratulations to Dwayne and Patty on their new grandson!
Dwayne & Patty Family:
I must repent for not having our info in the last newsletter, so I will get everyone caught up! We had all our children and grand kids home for Christmas. Jacob and Ryder met for the first time and had a great time with each other. Jacob was our alarm clock each morning coming in and saying "time to get up Grandma and Grandpa". Jacob loved the snow and played as much as he could out there. Ryder would have been out there if he was a little bigger. We welcomed a new grandson into our family on March 15. Todd and Jade welcomed Hudson into their sweet family. He weighed 8lbs 11 oz and was 20 inches long. We can hardly wait to meet him, and by the pictures we've seen he is a beautiful baby. Everyone is doing well and staying busy with work and school. WE have truly been blessed with wonderful children and grandchildren. We had a great time visiting with everyone at mom's 80th birthday celebration.

Hi everyone from Richfield,
Things are going great here in the central part of Utah.
Spring is sticking its head up and finally the snow is going away.
This past week, I finally went back to work. It was great to be back with the ladies I spend so much of my life with. They are great women.
Our family is doing well. I always hesitate to say to much as to what they are doing because I hope they will add their little bit to the newsletter, however if they don't:
Josh and Jessica just got back from Hawaii. We were able to spend some time with their kids while they were gone. We really enjoyed having them
Jeremy and Laura will be looking for a place in St. George at the end of the summer, if anyone has any ideas, let them know.
Jared and Brittany are doing great! They have just spent several days building a fence for privacy in their yard. Brittany has an unknown to the world blog that is fun to read that keeps us caught up on what they are doing!
Kelly and Steph just had a successful yard sale. Now they are ready to start filling out papers for adoption. Thanks to some of the family members for your advice, help and kind words, as they go through this. I can't believe how many great people have helped them.
As a mom and a grandma, it kills me that I can't help them more, but it sounds like things are going very well and we just want to thank everyone for their help.
Well, that's it.

We have been very busy lately, we are not sure if everyone knows, but we found out we are not able to have our own children. So, we have decided to adopt! We are trying to get the word out to EVERYONE! If you hear of anyone who is going to be putting their child up for adoption, please let us know! We are in the process right now of putting our papers in with LDS Family Services. We are hoping to have all the papers in, our home study done, and on the adoption list by the end of the month! So far we are ahead of schedule!!

New News!!!
Grandpa & Grandma:

Brent, Melissa & Boys,
We are all doing well! We are excited to announce that we will be finalizing T-Man’s adoption on April 28 and having him sealed to us in the Ogden Temple on May 8! We are very excited to make him a FOREVER part of our family! Life is good!
Bear is VERY excited to see The Colts go to the Super Bowl. We still can’t figure out where his love (or some would say obsession) of sports came from, but he does love the Colts!
Bug is just Bug, keeping us all on our toes. He has become quite the reader and he loves school and playing with his friends.
Elf has turned into a great big brother! It has been fun to watch him and T-Man bond and see their relationship develop! He is a big helper around the house and sometimes I think his big brothers could learn from him!
T-Man is doing well! He is starting to climb and thinks he is pretty cool when he climbs on the couch! He has gotten a lot more steady on his feet and is very busy and active! He really has made a place for himself in our family!
Not much new with Brent and I. Brent has been busy trying to get high speed internet into the buildings in our stake on top of his regular job and I just continue to run things on the home front! Life is good!
Eric & Shannon Family:
Eric graduated with his masters in business and is now job hunting, but for now still works for the church. Since his oldsmobile died in November, he bought himself a mustang after Christmas. He acts like a child on Christmas morning around it. We are excited because we get to be a Ma and Pa on a youth conference trek this year. I've never done one before and have always wanted to, so it will be fun! I've also been asked to be the adult leader from our ward for Laurel Legacy which is a spiritual camp trip for laurels. I'm excited about that, too. It's my turn to get to do a fun trip! :) We all got hit with a wicked, but thankfully fast-acting, stomach virus this week. I guess it's also worth mentioning that Eric had his lambs slaughtered recently, and we've had our first meal of lamb chops, and they tasted really good. (I know Eric's family will appreciate knowing that!) The kids are all doing great. We had a wonderful Christmas season.
Dan & Verna Family:

We ended 2009 kind of crazy with the passing of Dans mother. A couple of trips to California and all the stuff that goes with that really kept us on our toes. Christmas was at home.
We have received a ton of snow unlike we have not seen in years.
My two juniors are looking toward Jr. Prom, Faith was in the spelling bee and we are working toward the adoption of Miguel. The adoption should take place sometime in March with a sealing either March or April.
For those of you that might not be aware, we are planning a gala event on February 27th to celebrate Mom's birthday. We are so excited to have arranged to hold it at the old church where we grew up, the Butler 1st Ward. Food assignments etc. will be emailed to everyone. The family part of the party will be from 12-2 with a sit down dinner. Then from 2-4 will be visiting of other friends and relatives. Please everyone try to make arrangements to be there and share this great event with us.
Another date to be aware of is June 19th for the annual family reunion. More information will be given as it gets closer. It will be held at the Draper Park.
Gary & Bev Family:
November was such a busy month for our family. First on November 9 Devin Jerome Galovich was born in Atlanta, Ga. Britany and family flew out to meet him. They stayed in Ga for a week. On the same day Bev flew out for Utah to pick up her parents to bring them down to Yuma. She got back just in time to pick up Maya and Kenyon to watch them till Brit and Devin got back on Nov 20.
The next week was Thanksgiving, which was celebrated with Gary's parents (mom & dad), Bev's parents, Kellen and fam, and Britany and fam. It was so fun to have everyone here in the warm weather.
December was so different than usual. Kellen finished his finals on Dec 15. Everyone especially Camille was so glad that was over! They left for Utah on Dec 16, so on the 13th we had Christmas here for them. This year we had Christmas Eve at Britany and Jeremy's with them and Jer's parents. It was fun to see the tradition of Christmas Eve continued in our children. They did some of the same things we did and added new ones to adapt to their family. Christmas day Brit and fam were over to the house to open presents. Then the day after Bev's parents came and then Riley and family arrived for the next week. It was so fun to have them here to swim in the pool, go to movies, play Wii, going to Bounce U for New Years Eve and just to be here.
It was such a great month with family. January just went so fast.
Jeremy and Bev celebrated Birthdays. Bev doesn't want to but they come anyway.
We are excited to see everyone for Mom's 80th Birthday. See you soon.

We had a great Holiday season. We had all of our children together at some point in Nephi to spend Thanksgiving. Brittany did a great job entertaining us.
Christmas was also very fun and we had everyone together for Christmas Eve and had 3 out of the 4 families for Christmas Morning. It was fun to have little children around waiting on Christmas morning to go downstairs and see what Santa brought. This reminded me of years ago when we waited outside the living room while everyone went to the bathroom before we could open those weird folding doors and see what magic had taken place during the night.
Sorry we missed so many of you on Christmas day at Mom and Dads. We are excited to add one more granddaughter to our family in June. Jeremy and Laura will be having their third child. That makes for us, 3 girls and 3 boys. Wow, hard to believe.
We are now just trying to get through the cold month of January.
Jeremy & Laura Family:
Jeremy is finishing up his classes this semester. This summer he will do a practicum and then an internship in the fall. Finding an internship is proving to be very difficult right now, so pray for him if you will.
Paul started primary and is the busiest sunbeam ever! He really likes singing time.
Katie turned one year old on the 26th of December. She celebrated her big day with grandma and grandpa Jensen and grandma and grandpa Wilkinson in Draper. She has started to walk a step or two here and there.
Laura is expecting a baby girl in June. We are all anxious to see what this year holds for us.
We are well into the new year. We appreciated all who were able to visit us for Christmas. There are lots of fun things going on in our family. We expect to have 3 adoptions and two new births before the middle of 2010. We are always excited to hear the latest news on these events.
While Most of Utah is having bad air, St George is doing well. It gets cool at night but warms up In the daytime. I notice Phoenix also has some warmth.
As I write this, the news is telling of the earthquake in Haiti. The Church was quick to respond to their need. we can be grateful we are where we are.
Did any of you make New years resolutions? I didn't.
We made reservations for the summer reunion on June 19 from 9-3 in the Draper park. Verna will report further. This will be a Breakfast.
Life is good for Gerald and Donna. It would be boring for you. We extract, play the Organ, Do genealogy, . I am still sewing quilt squares together for humanitarian. We somehow stay busy. Tomorrow we are playing in a concert. Today we went to the Temple.
For members who went to Dr Christiansen for teeth work, He is retiring. All five of our children went to him. He was a good dentist.
I am looking forward to your entry into this newsletter. We appreciate Tricia for her work on this project.
My final quote is from Brigham Young. " Learn to sustain yourselves, lay up grain and flour, and save it against a day of scarcity" I might add to store those items that you eat every day. If one stores wheat and don't use it, Your body won't be able to handle it. Its too hard on the stomach if the stomach isn't used to it. We store rice instead.

Grandpa & Grandma's Update!
Dear Family Members,
Thanksgiving is over. There was much happening this year.
Brit and Jeremy got their new son.
John and Elizabeth had their new son.
Dan's mother died in California.
We went to Mesa for Thanksgiving.
Now its time to seriously think of Christmas. We have fewer decorations than usual, but we have a few. We will be in Draper for Christmas. We will have our regular buffet starting about 2 in the afternoon. We hope to see you there sometime during the day or even later in the week. You are always welcome. My message for you this month is from the Ensign. What all of us long for at Christmastime and always is too feel bound together in love with the sweet assurance that it can last forever. This is the promise of Eternal life.

Thanks to my siblings and mom and dad for the beautiful clock and for the thoughts and prayers that have been said in our behalf at the death of Dan's mom. I am so grateful for the plan of salvation and for the knowledge I have that we are a forever family.
